Nick has gained extensive experience over the past 20 years across a range of fields including fine wine sales, buying, broking, advising and event hosting.

Having begun his career in retail Nick has a solid understanding of what makes great wine. His understanding of pricing and knowledge of wine regions that deliver value for money is unparalleled.

Nick quickly developed knowledge about fine wines whilst looking after investment portfolios and private collections for some of the biggest London wine merchants. Having developed experienced in En Primeur buying and fine wine investment since its stratospheric rise, Nick has learned from the best on how to navigate wine investment with acumen and an analytical approach.

At Quintessentially Wine, the wine arm of the international luxury lifestyle management company, Nick honed his skills in wine collecting, storage and cellar management as well as giving advice on serving and food pairing. Nick also worked closely with wine journalist and critic, Matthew Jukes, to create a unique wine list as well as hosting private and exclusive tastings.

Moving on to the on-trade, Nick supported some of London’s finest restaurants and corporate and event caterers by providing a range of sommelier services – including wine list generation, staff training, and support for clients such as the Rick Stein Group.

Finally Nick spent the last three years as a wine buyer, developing strong supplier relationships, sourcing and discovering some of the best and most exciting wines in the world to enhance and back up his offering as a sommelier consultant.
